Today I drove my room mate to the bus stop because I have a car. And I had an epiphany about how privileged I am. I realized that literally 90% of my success has come from pure luck. College, the food I eat, my viola, my shoes. There are a lot of times where it’s so easy for me to become complacent and still get by. I’m at the stage in my life where I have to learn how to use my privilege to benefit the rest of humanity, rather than myself. And in the meantime I have to work my ass off so I don’t seem so entitled… Now I just need to figure out how to do that as a Music/ Art History Major.
